I suppose the question is ultimately can you buy more friends than we have made? Might I suggest you offer terms of surrender? Then you might actually keep some of your holdings. I'm one of the aforementioned newer players that attacked you. Perhaps if you had former allies you wouldn't be a target so often. Your lack of political skills is not our fault, if you ask nicely we can be reasonable. But it will cost.
