In my excitement CJ I forgot to play devils advocate and ask if this should be easy knowledge.

Again just playing devils advocate but should there be something a player has to do to get this knowledge?
-Fleet at port
- Certain level warehouse at port he wants to know about
- new voodoo card “Harbor Master”
- part of port building idea One Eye came up with Brothel. “You pay The lady of the night 100,000 gc to report on the harbor masters secrets”
- etc
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!

I did calculations a few days ago and some were estimated at 10k per day.

Granted I didn't sit and watch the gossip page for the full 24 hrs, but Akro - Psaral was pushing over 10k.

Or a quest that could unlock this and other similar info. We can have them now and limit them later.

It is like 1 and half hours and the best port (Goroum) had 426k incoming cargo. We are talking about 30M crates at 3 days or 60M if the toll is 2gc per crate or 30M for 1gc. Or 450M for a full loot. We will have more concrete data in 2 days though.

I like the idea of a quest. Maybe make the information available for 72 hours after completion.

yes numbers seem huge, but most traders will simply stop their fleets or re-route if active.

That's a good thing in the developers book. Any action that creates massive reactions have to be good.

Absolutely! But Fenix has a point in that this means that despite trade being high, the actual profit from a blockage will be quite low. And the cost will be tremendous (setting, breaking and resetting mindbars, krakens and other interesting voodoo, plus the turns involved). The potential upside of such an endeavour needs to be huge for anyone to wish to engage in it, I believe.
