I don't believe I once acted high and mighty around this fight?

In fact, I spent and used a lot less than anyone else as it wasn't even my fight. I merely caused some minor pain here and there as a supporting backgrounder.

As for a fight between dez and I being questionable with both of us holding the same resources... sure lets go with that ;)

Minor pain. You had prop'd me to 50k influence in some ports multiple times. This isn't minor pain, its to show you have plenty of voodoo and more to cast. Don't act like you haven't spearheaded most of the influence voodoo in this war. I think 100% of the propaganda casts on me (and which I would equate to over 100) were all from you. Many other in the US have also said similar attacks from you. You have spent more on propagandas alone than the entire UK on this war. "a supporting backgrounder" my ass.

Then you go to the forums and act like you are better than others. I have received messages from others on your opinions Vane. Know that people aren't afraid to fight you due to your strategies. Its because of your chest and wallet and nothing else.

I can say this now because I really don't care about this game as much and my progress either. I have other things in life and have been slowly drifting.

Regardless of the reason they may be afraid, its the outcome that they truly worry for.

Strategy, voodoo, credits, cash, ships, they are all vessels to that end.

One of the common sayings here is what, don't poke the old bear? Seems a hard lesson for so many to understand. There are several old bears in Avonmora, and now and then they cross each others territory and have a good brawl, this is normal and they go toe to toe since they are roughly equal in size and no one gets mauled to death. The problem is when a spring cub decides he wants a peace of one of those old timers..

Fact is, there will always be someone out there to lay a beat down on you, learning when to yield your position and move on to another day is the key. Too many eager beavers here think they can step into the cage and win the day.

You aren't too old vane. And you have drifted from my point almost completely.

Old enough to have been playing PG for more than 4 years now.

How have I drifted, you pointed out spending gives an unfair advantage. "I said life is the same so pick your enemies more wisely."

You said I cast the majority of the influence voodoo, I said "well.. guess the US shouldn't have poked at me."

I am amazed this convo has gone for as long as it has. Like Vane or not spend cash or not it all really boils down to play the game or not. Have fun or dont but in the end everyone chooses a style to play. If your not happy change up and run another style. :beer
damages or butthurt received in the posting of these words is solely yours and yours alone

Spending cash really does help give an advantage, but honestly everyone has a limit to how much they can actually spend. Some like me are more or less broke and cant really afford to spend money on games very often, others can buy creds every so often and some lucky ducks can buy quite a few fairly often, but I doubt anyone can really spend enough to simply dominate-and if they could, would they? Honestly if I had the money to do that there are many things id rather spend it on then to simply dominate PG.

I will also say this, many games I have played where you can buy things to help you advance are simply pay to win. Poor saps like me who can only invest time and strategy into those games will never be able to compete with payers-unless they spend insane amounts of time and effort, and even then its unlikely. PG while spending helps give an edge and speeds things up, is far more fair to free players then most other games with the option to spend, which is one of the reasons why ive stuck around.

This is one of the best Free to Play games I’ve seen. Yes I have spent a few dollars here and there but I am no Bigtea. The game gives every player the ability to compete. Yes you need to be a merchant for a while to make some fast cash but I can also attest to what a hard working pirate can earn.

Money is not the issue it’s time and smarts. This game says it on the opening screen. It’s for intelligent people.
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!
