because Ben is and has been extremely ill - the port & crown of UK were gifted to him by Vane - i think most of us would agree it would nice if at least if he did have something to come back to when he logs back on ...as feniks has said him self his very recent port action of Gorum was taken by one player alone - I would gladly relinquish my port if it meant Ben would keep his unharrassed
Yeah i get that but no one was arguing semantics on behalf of the uk when they were under fire is my point, so I dont understand people arguing on the us behalf now lol
No was arguing semantics on behalf of the UK because the UK wasn't the only nation to be hit by Conspiracy and Black Death on it's ports. The other nations just moved on to fix the issue. The UK and more specifically Vane, made a crusade out of finding out who did it. I suspect that the crusade made the situation worse for the UK. It's basically how a bully will pick on a group of kids. When one starts whining or showing hurt more than the others hey focus their actions on the whiner making it worse for them. The others get relief from the hits as the bully no longer sees them, just the one that is whining. Thus why I suspect the UK continued to be hit. It also didn't help with active retaliation from those that Vane and the UK were hitting trying to find the culprit.
I was vocal of supporter of Vane finding the culprits, mainly because I hate the ease at which influence can be taken away, but the cost to gain it is great. Who wants to watch millions of hard earned money just get flushed down the toilet over and over again. The search started to get rough, and while I still wanted the culprits found, I knew that they likely wouldn't be found at least not definitively. You will never know who actually cast unless you have the players voodoo logs. You can't force players to show you their voodoo log, and those that refuse can't be held as being guilty.
The failure of this whole predicament lies on the need to place blame. A blame that you can't definitively know and will never know. You can deduce and try to figure out all the possibilities and you will be no closer to the answer than when you started. You can ask question and get "tips" from players, but we saw how that rolled out. You were so positive that HELM or at least someone in HELM was responsible, now all of sudden it's the USA. You keep deducing and finding nothing. Who is going to be next? You seemed to be so sure about HELM. All I see is turmoil and destruction based on loose accusations.
I find it humorous that there are some players that say I don't know how to be diplomatic and accuse me of running some inner circle in the USA. Yet here they are, not even attempting to discuss with nation leaders about a pretty heinous accusation against an entire nation and just declaring war on behalf of the UK against that nation. The whole while, providing no substantiating evidence that proves their accusations.
This could have been avoided. Now two nations, that I know have been peaceful with each other up until this point, have lost millions for what I see as no good reason what so ever.
As for the propaganda attacks that occurred by USA players on UK (that I know of), both were a result of a player not knowing not to retaliate with nation specific voodoo as a result of plunder voodoo attacks from UK players. The one was resolved via a recompense to the UK, the other was to my knowledge via chat to be dealt with between the two players. The USA condemned the actions of the two players that were involved in those incidents and both players apologized for using props as a retaliation to plunder. If any other incident occurred, the USA was not aware of such and we would have condemned them just the same.
