Well we do know that the US wants another port, we do know that you folks held a vote to take Baramas, we do know that DoS and Rj are involved in some unscrupulous activities. So perhaps it wasn't the entire council but it was key members of the council doing some backhanded things. At that point we had already been taking hits for so long that we had to give a port away to Kiribati. You were still voting on taking a port by force as well. This does nothing to vindicate you.

Discussion of taking a port doesn't constitute an agreement to do so. Any Council member can bring up any topic to discuss and vote. Do you not do that in the UK? Do you not discuss and vote?

And the UK gave the port away. The UK at that point has no say in what happens to that port. I distinctly recall a post saying that the UK has nothing to do with Kiribati. I guess that wasn't true. I guess Kiribati is a sub-nation of the UK.
