Port ownership is not a Money gaining business. For every gc you gain, you spend 100 times as much. How much do you think any one spends on it? Well, we have established that Vane can count, if nothing else. Not very well, but like the dancing one-legged poodle, one is amazed by the attempt, if not the success of it.

I dont see much value in casting dozens of cards on a guy with one fleet and no assets to harm, unless, of course, there is some agreed value in winning a voodoo-pissing contest : Chucky thinks casting 3 fugi's and 3 HN's on a guy with one fleet of cutters is smart play : carry on casting, say I. Casting Sabotages on a Sow also seems high on his list of war-winning actions. I admit, I nearly raised the white flag after that one. Chucky seems upset that I am not playing in such a way as to let him 'win' (whatever that is) : I agree, I am not playing to suit his tactics, but to suit my own.

That's being optimistic.. Peace in the Spring is possible, but no point planning on it just yet
