I respect plenty of your mates current and past. There are a few that do shady things, pro comes to mind. I can name a much longer list of current and former Helm members that I respect and appreciate greatly: SHM, BS, you, Lodswe, Cutpurse, Anomander (who actually is my voodoo partner and gave me turns during the plunder competition), etc. I could name more but you get the point. The list of people I dislike is far far less. Maybe if you took the time to ever talk to me you would know. I actually respected you from my very early days in this game. This nonsense is eroding my respect for people though. There is a great amount of people talking backhanded action instead of just stepping up and saying, "hey you are a jackass and we do not like the way you did ____ so we are going to ruin your day." It's a big petty that there isn't an opportunity for a grown up conversation with resolution. Tis a shame really.

This game is all about the petty. If players didn't act petty about stupid things, this game would get boring. Plus, I have stock in ACT II, Orville Redenbacher's, and Pop Secret. So stupid makes me money.

My only relevant remark to this is, if Vane's actions were an issue, why did it take this long to say something or to tell him to stop. Something seems off about this.

I do not think any of us realized that level of disdain for Vane and the gravity to which his actions accelerated the situation. It also is becoming clear that Vane is not exclusively the problem.

We are not savvy in these matter. Hell I am fairly new to the game by all standards. I am one of the more active members. My belief was that if Vane said he would handle something, then he would and I left it at that. None of us really understood the situation fully nor did we understand the politics behind the situation. We pissed in someone's wheaties and figured that eventually they would get bored or run out of cards and it would stop. I still do not fully understand all the bad blood but I know its bad so obviously starting to create distance between ourselves and problem areas has to start somewhere. Having Vane affiliated with the UK seems of no benefit and in fact is detriment to the UK's success so it was time to part ways with the relationship. It's no more complex than that. The fact that it took so long for us to come to this conclusion, well chalk it up to ignorance. Ignorance is bliss right?

Well... Vane certainly promoted a response from UK and HELM in his quest to find the responsible person/people who decimated UK's population.
I hope my investigation to why XProX has turned his attention to Spain now with a massive attack against it's influence and followed by over 200 M of it's pops eliminated.

Currently searching for reasons as XProX will not respond to my accusation. It would be unfortunate if I find there is a nation behind these attacks as I can see another "Akrotori' type port in the making in the near future.

The same event triggered that discussion primarily from XPROX's casting of multiple props on the Spanish King and has NO fleets to retaliate on.
Now compelling circumstantial evidence shows up that XProX has struck again.

I really wanted to add some replies to CJ's proposed 'FIX' of the issue but perhaps it is best to not say anything to avoid being accused of admin baiting. Unfortunately none of the 'fixes" will prevent this sort of game play to happen.

I will say it does not sit well with me and a few others and yes, sometimes, when people leave the game others follow along if the perceived injustice is large enough.
FIX the problem of nations having no control on who is admitted or give nations a way to boot them out at the very least.
