There are no tears, I assure you.

The port was offered in peace, and accepted in peace, and individuals with means in Avenmora who have made no claim to the port are making aggressive moves against a young nation with no enemies so as to make acquisition of the port not without incident. It is perplexing, and reflects on the unfortunate state of Avenmora's culture. That is all the statement was meant to reflect.

If there are some that think there is some sort of larger collusion between Kiribati and the UK, I assure you there is not. The nation of Kiribati was approached as a neutral figure to control the port, especially in light of the coming addition of plantations to the world of Avenmora. We have every intention of remaining neutral and fair toward all nations, but continued and unprovoked aggression may naturally make it difficult to be so.

As for ownership of the port, we have stated our position. Having accepted it in peace from those who accepted it in peace, we consider the port of Baramas now wholly ours, and will defend it as such to the best of our abiities, both now and in the future, until such time as we should deem it prudent to pass ownership to another nation.

If the entities involved have an issue with Kiribati or any of its members, please make your grievances known to us. If your grievance is with the former owners, take it up with them as Kiribati is independent of them, as now is the port of Baramas as well.

Respectfully,

~The Lords of Kiribati~

As I see it, the port rest in family and (Adventurers) brethren hands... Just saying, without grievance... :)

Let's be clear about something here. Hector left UK because he disagreed with some of the decisions that were being made in council. He was a valued and well respected leader and council member. Since his departure from UK he has out together an impressive, albeit rather raw, group. I understand how difficult it is to build a nation from scratch personally.

Did we contact other nations about this? No we did not. Hector was so respected by the UK he was our natural choice. Yes there were some concessions given as has been the case with all recent peaceful port gifting. But do not doubt, Kiribati is free from any ties with UK other than the very few concessions that were upon.

"the port rest in family and (Adventurers) brethren hands" ...... no the port rest within Kiribatis hands to do with as they see fit.

Nothing more to it than that.

As I see it the port lies in the hands of someone who is peaceful and a diplomat. Any grievances you may have do not include Hector or his core members who are now trying to build a nation.
I brought Hector up to have the port because he felt so strongly about some courses of actions being taken that he decided to remove him self from a nation he too has helped build.
That integrity should be rewarded not agitated and provoked.
I am not even close to broke to think the current situation was a forced action or a farce is an erroneous assumption.
A group deserving of a port now has one. Is that not something to celebrate?
