I think the solution resides in the root cause of the issue. VOODOO. I'm sure the complaining will begin, but voodoo is necessary to perform actions that should be available outside of voodoo. Phasing out certain voodoo into game features will allow pirates to still exist and function as they do, but eliminate WDs. Voodoo would still exist, but it should be limited to buffs.

Let's remember that this is a seafaring game based during the Golden Age of Piracy.

I assume you mean the Golden Age of Piracy that included theft, torture, terrorism, and tactics that made people feel they were besieged by some evil magical force, but then I am sure there is a fairy tale version as well. :beer


No where did I advocate making this SEAFARING game into some fairy tale version. What this game needs is to be more focused on SEAFARING and less on who has the bigger voodoo chest.

OH NOES!! The voodoo gods and guardians are upset that someone dare say that we should focus on seafaring aspects (what the game is about) and lessen the need and dependency of voodoo for battles.

It will always boil down to the biggest ________. Take voodoo out and its the biggest gold coin chest which also can be bought. No, it doesn't always boil down to the biggest _____________. Ships and Fleets are specifically limited. Anyone can obtain and level up the ships. Ship/fleet battles, where actual battles occur and not just I cast voodoo, is not about who has the biggest anything, as all players are generally on equal footings. What will make a difference is battle formations, crew experiences, fleet make up, and other factors. The player with the biggest ___________ means squat in seafaring battles.

Nice strawman. But Tactical Nuke in the rowboat will do it. As well, a submarine which is roughly about 1/5 the size of a carrier can also sink one. Size makes a difference, but it doesn't always boil down to size.
