Warehouses and Trade routes

Postby PhoenixKnight » Wed May 10, 2017 11:58 pm

For about a day my trade routes where not unloading at their destination for certain materials.
That now seem to be fixed only to suddenly start to get 1000 wood every 5 minutes in my wood port warehouse! My warehouse now is nearly full off wood!

Anyone else is having crazy issues?

This happened to one of my members in an Iron port not to long back. It eventually went away, but it seems there is a bug in the system and under the right circumstances, it triggers the Resource Elves to stock your warehouse for you. :hh
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!

I had a fleet bringing food to Vaasburg and storing in the warehouse. It stored it the first time then after that it stopped storing it even when the warehouse was empty. I changed it to sell to market, and eventually it started working fine.

There should be no bug here. I have not checked fleet orders but this can easily happen with the following options:
1.Store to Port 1
2.Buy from market at Port 1
3.Store to Port 2 (port full)

Please try to see through the options used and identify what happened. At these cases, you must search your mistake, not the system's mistake. It is highly unlikely to have a system mistake here.

I will leave this topic open in case you want to post anything that does not seem to make sense.

It may be that CJ has to keep an open mind here although he's right.

There may or may not be a bug in the system but it may
be of utter importance to do a thorough investigation and backtrack
all steps taken.

I was working on a chemical carrier wich had installed a state of the art tank tender
system from Kongsberg. That system was highly dangerous since it could freeze up,
shut and open tank valves on it's own, give no readings +++. For one and a half
year Kongsberg sent out service engineers to track down and fix the fault but
nothing were found except the last time. It was four comma errors in one of
the init files.

1. Store to port 1: I had a fleet trade route paused at port. It was set to buy from market at port 1. Doesn't explain why it would buy and store in warehouse indefinitely. I have paused fleets before and nothing like that happened.
2. Buy from market at Port 1: See prior point
3.Store to Port 2 (port full): With 1 exception, all my fleets sells directly at port 2. Additionally, when has a port ever been fulll? What is the definition of that? Is that a game limitation that I never encountered before?

Warehouse not full.

didn't warehouse being full result in that cargo are sold directly to market?

If it ever happens again, please post these details here:
1.Which port was getting the wood? (or any other resource)
2.Trade Route details of at least one fleet that did this (ports included, orders at each port)
3.Status of warehouses of all ports involved in the trade route (full, not full)
4.Skirmish details (in case the particular fleet was skirmished, we need to know)

It would help to leave such a fleet to keep up without affecting it all.

The details provided will help me explain what happened. In case there is something that cannot be explained, then we will check the code.

I'm having a problem getting 50 pieces of inventory out of the warehouse i have in tortuga. i have a trade route that goes there and had it set for a full day, on different days, to all the options availablefor what to do at market and could not get the pieces out. am i missing something else that im supposed to do? These are the only pieces i have in any port other than my main, which is not full, if that matters.
