@Wolfie

yes,but like i said not many can reach there quickly, before they leave the game, plus many leave their nation before even becoming captain to turn as pirate. honestly i personally believe that a separate tutorial is still better,
but i appreciate ur opinion and ur idea is great, i hope they implement both or combine them in some way so player have access to some strong ship quickly

i became marquess at my 15th day in game. i waited to finish my hideout and private marina before become one to protect my mow. thats why it took a few day more. getting a mow is one time event and will wait whenever you feel you are ready.

also dont forget having access to strong ships quickly means also losing them quickly. i saw a lot of 1-2 weeks old players who got 60 att sotls or mows from shipwreck hunt lost them due to lack of experience and knowledge in a few minutes. at present you have access to credit exchange ship market and loans easily. which means easy access to strong ships. but without experience and knowledge it may end really bad for you.

In my opinion Knowledge is power and more important than shiny warships or golds. Seek for knowledge you will surprise how fast you can become wealthy and strong.

As far as them not reaching that rank that is not problem of tutorials or serving things it is separate problem and it is much easier to come at that rank then it was when I was starting the game. I would quit the game if I didn't end up in SSTG. Now everyone will say guilds are most important aspect of keeping people in the game. I agree but it is ruined by people making double accounts and using them as a spy tool. If somehow we end spy situations more new players will stay in the game and will find guild for themselves

wait i think we are deviating from the topic,
maybe reaching the rank is quicker, maybe guild can help achieve that faster or maybe knowledge is power, but that's not what we are discussing here.
please let's stick to the topic :D

+1 only if shadows idea is the lead concept.

A pirate tutorial mission where the player receives a report of a designated NPC who is trading between ports. The player must light said NPC fleet up with HN's or an Ambush / disfavor combo (given by the game like the pacifism cards and can't be sold to market) the player would then be able to attack and plunder the ship or ships. This allows for a brief intro to raiding and grants 1 or 2 ships of BoW quality or less to the player.

A one off mission and no more afterwards. Any other ship plundering should always be player to player in my opinion. Otherwise it becomes to easy with no risk and takes away from the pirates life.

one thing that could happen is that the ships left on the seafloor granted there's not to many left anymore but maybe they could make a npc that has an extremely low spawn chance and when you plunder that fleet it gives you a chance to get a ship but the catch to that is its any of the ships that's left on the seafloor excluding ships of the lines and mow's as to still have a purpose to use the shipwreck feature. and another thing that they could do is make it so that the fleets that carry those ships have no fame and no gold so if you attack it and don't get a ship you lose out a bit.Yet another thing they could do is make it so that as the amount of shipwrecks increase the scavenging fleets increase in chance to spawn.
