They decided that a new nation should hold the map, although the players that hold that map hasn't changed.

Egypt and IOM decided to join forces and make a stronger nation. By joining forces and keeping only 6 ports vs 9 total, we are opening 3 ports for nations not currently holding ports who have the capability of doing so.

This will allow a nation that has the desire to emerge but hadn't had the chance to rise to actually show up.
Personally I have seen how long Spain stay on top and I hope St Kitts can rival that achievement and strength

By doing what St. Kitts has done, it allows those who do not agree with the way the King runs the nation to garner their resources and run their own port. It can be a situation where everyone wins and Egypt has consolidated it's power into a new nation with a common vision.
Makes all kinds of sense to me.

Viable new nations must be given a chance to grow. Why should 2 nations hoard 9 ports when their leadership shares a common vision and is willing to work together consolidate and make a few ports available to others. We obviously do not plan to release all of our ports, however we believe like other powerful nations that port diversity is a good thing. While many players chose to follow us and it may appear we are just Egypt or Isle of Man under a different flag, we are not. A few others have remained behind in Isle of Man and Egypt and others yet chosen to follow their own path. Some have even chosen to participate in the formation and develop of growing nations. We wish to offer all of these players and their respective nations success in achieving their vision.

In reality. The nations already established would just take those ports.

Though, I do wonder if a few more ports would hurt. Cause a bit more action.
