Captain Dungeness is back. He got caught up with a Mermaid named Debbie. Debbie is a bit crazy and she kept Captain D a bit "locked up" for a spell. He only managed to break free after putting her to sleep with a story about the boring life of a bloke called "Black Sparrow".

I have some (many would say ridiculous) principles and I will not vote, but those people in BS team (I have the pleasure to know some of them pretty well) are really fantastic and with a captain like BS, who is highly respected of all of us, this team could make the great things, in every field of PG.

Victory is a more then sufficient common goal

As for diversity, anyone can tell you that the greater the diversity, the stronger a unit is. There is less overlap when you have true specialists.The question is, if you can utilize them to their full potential, as a part of a greater war. Black Sparrow could, which is why he picked the players he did. But, I do agree that not just anyone could handle such an dangerous team.

I would then ask those people, "When the Hull is filling with water, all the mice will run upwards in the same direction. Does that make them a team?"


That said, I have tremendous respect for all 5 captains and the teams they have chosen. It was great to sit back and enjoy the draft while others went through the fun of identifying and selecting their teams of choice. Well done and best of luck to all those drafted and their teams!

Well said m'lady. I must say I have some confidence in Black Sparrow, especially considering I know him so well. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, I am saying my draft picks all have superior teamwork and just the right amount of diversity. No other teams have as many players who have played both a trader role and a pirate role in Avonmora. If I could have chosen Black Sparrow for my team it would have made us better but considering the options available I was able to pick just what I wanted.

To all the Captains and the organizer of this game, I say well done. Kudos to the sponsors as well for making this a bigger event than last time. Now, it is the job of the Avonmoran public to choose the team they like. In the first draft, the voter turnout was the highest of any poll. This time round, I hope even more people will vote and make this a truly successful draft. Perhaps, the newspapers could cover the event and call people out to vote. And the guild leaders can remind their players. For my part, I am willing to partially support the polls. I have already announced to award extra prizes to my team if we win. Now, if we win, I will give 1 million gold to the first 20 players that send me proof of voting for my team. Simply send a screenshot of the polls after voting for my team. I will note your name and send you a confirmation that your entry has been accepted. If we eventually win, you will receive your money from the Bank of Da Vinci.
