Round 8 : keep right on to the end of the road and the final destination looms closer, not unlike Xanadu torching yet another kitchen, you dont always know when, but you do know its gonna happen : inevitability is kinda inevitable, a truth the Kraken know well : the Kraken also respect age, family and kinship, no matter how crazy or strangely weird they may be : thus for this reason, and the large wad of cash mysteriously left in Grandpa Krakens mail-box, that sense of inevitability brings us to this happy conclusion : the Mighty Kraken doth award a massive keg of Finest Kind Kraken Rum unto :

PSYCHODAD

P.S. if you wish to assure yourself of similar glory, the Kraken accept cash, gold and strong family members you may wish to sell into bondage (must have their own teeth).

Thanks?

'RUM or CUSTARD?'

Round 9! : Well, well well, some names which may constitute a blast from the past showing up, as well as new names little known to our Kraken brethren (and sistren and those not gender-assigned yet) : but this round of the draft is much over-shadowed by recent events, as the map shifts and shakes and many find themselves left port-less and once again forced to seek new homes and sources of daily income : but was it not always the way, just as you got stuck in to that back-lot game of football, the rich kid got bored and went home and took his ball with him : but enough of politics and the economic woes now befallen the unwary : which name strikes a chord with the Kraken, which rings their bells? Yosarian perhaps? Or is there a catch? Plato? Will he accept victory or defeat philosophically? Jeanne de Clisson? Another cheese-eating surrender monkey, or worse, a winner? Will Captain Eagle soar like, ahem, an eagle or will his wings droop slowly and meet a sudden de-acceleration event? The Pirate King? Always good for a laugh but will the sun dim in his fundament or blaze forth in full MAjesty?

Difficult times and difficult choices, but the Kraken do not shirk from their task nor stay sober for longer than is necessary : thus, to a hushed whisper from the waiting hordes, the Arch-Kraken proclaims : 'The Mighty Kraken doth award a massive keg of Finest Kind Kraken Rum unto :

CAPTAIN EAGLE

As the crowds disperse, a strange bedraggled figure, dressed in motley, shouts loudly that it would all have been so very different if only he had been in charge, then he stoops and bows at a passing beggar and asks, 'Buddy, can you spare me a dime?'.

Sic transit gloria mundi.

Is this the time where I cry because I wasn't picked?

It's good for me too, as that I do not stand in the spot light of death.

You tell yourself that at night.

Honestly. I don't know why you haven't been picked, and some others have been picked.

Slindur takes Noffin in the 10th round. I must say this is a great late round pick up

And now CDV has the last regular pick and the 1st ever Rookie Pick!
