Repeating the cover post and rules for the contest.

For those who do not know me, I am Kart. Once upon a time I had a rather large fleet, in fact I had over a thousand ships. I did not have a lot of Captains however. I used the games rules to help me grow without hiring Captains. This was not really what the creators of PG had in mind and I was encouraged to sell off my extra ships. To say the least I dug in my heels and fought the idea. One day I decided to give in and try to gain the Captains I needed (I had over 600 ships in fleets without captains). This day was named as Pirates Glory's first ever holiday. Captain Jack agreed on the name of Kaptain's Day. Kaptain's Day will fall on March 23rd each year. I may be putting Captain Jack on the spot here, but the original agreement was that admin would give every player one free captain on Kaptain's Day as part of the celebration.

Now, about the contest. This will be a guess the number game finishing at 18:00 game time on March 23rd. No guesses after that time will be counted. If a number is guessed twice, the first one to guess the number gets the number. I will try to confirm all guesses or deny any guesses that are duplicates. The prize for this contest will be a Level 10 SotL. The ship will be built after the contest is over and the number of attribute points will be random according to the building of the ship. No attribute points will be placed except for the one point on shot that will come with it when built.

What are you guessing? You will be guessing the largest number of cannons I had in my fleets at the largest count point. This number could come from when I had over a thousand ships or it could come from when I had a lesser amount. It will be the most cannons I ever had though. No one except for myself knows this amount (to assure honesty and fairness I am mailing Captain Jack the number of cannons I had). Not even any of my guild mates know how many I had nor will I give any hints to them. The more you know about me and how I configured my fleets the better guess you can make. I will give everyone this one clue. As I sold off my ships from the 1,028 ships, I increased my fire power on some of my ships. So, do you think I had more when I had over a thousand ships or did the number of cannons actually go up as the ships count went down. Casting probing voodoo on me will not help as my fleets no longer represent this number. If you do choose to use any kind of voodoo on me you will be disqualified from the contest.

Guesses must be posted here to be accepted. I will not accept guesses by letters or messages. When posting your guess please use your player number so I can identify you. People change names too often for me to keep up with so this is needed. The winner will be the person who guesses closest to the actual cannon count without going over the amount. Guesses close at 18:00 game time on March 23.
