I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!

It is highly stressful to be a fantasy draft captain after all.

As is the case with most drafts, the interesting selections will start showing up in the middle rounds.

Watching with popcorn and beer in hand.

100% agreed. The top picks in most drafts are almost always 'anticipated'. Its in the middle rounds that a Captain throws a curveball or picks up a sleeper that makes it very fun.

I will post on the Draft Thread, but for the Rookie Player, it looks like anyone from Page 306 or less (on the just joined list) is fair game. Lots of good players in those 300 pages.

I only agree to some extent. Sure, we all have a certain idea of who the top players are. But I doubt we agree on their exact order.

Clearly, CDV rates Morgan on top. Nice to know. Would Slindur also have preferred him over Phoenix, if given the choice? That we will NOT know. But of all the other players, Slindur preferred Phoenix. Duly noted. Also, I am fully aware that Jim Hawkins is a top player. But I did not know how highly Sparrow thought of him.

All this is valuable information. To all, I guess, but maybe particularly to a Naval Combat Solutions Provider.

Its interesting to see how someone values or perceives other players, even if they have never had dealings with them. (Guild/Nation/Warfare/Etc)

The draft has many good points to it, regardless if some of the same people get picked. It is very interesting to see IMO

'RUM or CUSTARD?'

So, the rum ruminates and the custard thickens : the council commences and the Kraken Elders gather to consider the antics of the strange creatures that roam the briny surface of the Great Seas : voices are already raised : 'Why should the evil wreck-stealer da Vinci not be immediately consigned to the Custard Bowl of Oblivion?' cries one grey-backed Kraken : 'What of the rum-thief Morgan?' cries another : 'Slindur? Who he?' cries a third : 'Hawkins has nice eyes!' mumbles a fourth, and then is beaten soundly with many tentacles. 'Sparrows? Phoenixes? It's a bloody aviary up there! What kind of perverted souls are they?' whimpered the fifth aged leviathan.'Sod this!' said the sixth, 'I'm off to the stables, that nice Mr Danik sent down a pair of fine matched donkeys!'

The custard congeals, the rum seethes : the Kraken argue on whilst, off-stage, a donkey gets a very sore bottom.
