I have been in the top spot for the better part of a year and half. I have been blessed to see Egypt and SSAA come a long way and been surrounded by great folks.
However, maintaining the top position is growing too taxing on me. I might just be taking the game a little too serious and that had RL repercussions.
While I am not retiring, I decided that I am going to start over the next few months to relinquish the top spot starting with fame.

It has been a good run at the top spot and I will still be around but I will not actively pursue maintaining these spots anymore.

Good luck to all competitors.

Towards the end I was not here for you, but hell - You did a good job, always tried to be friendly too.

Rest well my friend.

On a side note: Another 'legendary' player has stepped down; as we have got to remember just a month or two ago Kart did too.

I admire Phoenix not only for his long-running streak of being at the top but also his trust and generosity. With my endeavors in Wales with the port nonsense and such, he was a very supportive ally and I wouldn't be the player I am without him and others that carry the same credence. ;)

I never like goodbye threads. For many reasons.

This is however not a goodbye thread as most of the people who post here, treat it. If I am wrong, PhoenixKnight can correct me.

It seems to me that PhoenixKnight has decided to let everyone know that his (titanic, agreed) run at the top has came to an end for him. I can imagine how tedious it is to hold the top spots at all fronts and for such a long time, so it seems only reasonable to me.

From there after, it is one thing stopping the run to be number 1 at the statistics and another retiring from the game.

My 2 cents - I read the whole message, not just the title. :D :D :D :D

Oh yes; but Kart has not quit either.

He has 5 LMM's and is semi-active too.

I've quit several times :D Does anybody never come back?

Hell even Xepshunall comes back from time to time.

Making assumptions out of such topics, like you do, is one of the reasons I dislike such topics. I guess though it's not the problem of the topic itself but the ones making the assumptions.

I see more as the grievance of his work than rather him quitting...
