When I read the first post, it seems like this was a one time contest for 10 million. But due to its popularity and this quote "Vegapunk is the winner of this weeks contest!" I am hoping it continues.

Sadly I am not wealthy enough to run the contest again. Vega took me last 10 million.

If some other much more wealthy privateer or dare I say merchant wants to run this event, I have not the means to stop them.
