Yeah. I'm so proud of Spain. Unwillingness to bend in anyway to anyone. Yes, I know they want their 5 ports. But, I wanted a bigger Spain at one point. I did so much for them, and got back nothing. This is why I continue to fued with them.

They force death upon their own citizens so that they can dine in glamour.

They have no concept of effort or growth for other than their own royal skins.

What you got was a democracy in action. When your ideas were not endorsed by all or even half of the ruling council, Ivan has a tantrum and decides to leave the nation and wage war.

You wanted Spain to grow and overrun other fledgling nations. Well you got your wish ! I think we will have no problem convincing Spain Russia is a threat and perhaps we just might have to raise our port hold to 6.
In your weird way, you somehow thought by attacking Spain, you would be able to get a port. All you have really done was spur Spain into action who would have stayed quiet and left you alone if you were able to gain some real estate.
