Where is this? I click on any ship and next to type it just gives me the kind of ship it is

I click on cutter. Type=Cutter.

You must click on a specific ship in the ship market. At the top of that ships card, to the right of the image, you will find this info.

The reason we put the condition to use warships as escorts (at top slots) limitation is that Sloops are also warships. So, putting a sloop last would mess with the reason we want this implementation. You want 6 ships in a fleet? At least 1 (and maximum 2) ship must be a warship positioned in the top. Or else, stay with 5 ships and no special rules.

Any ideas whether we should include an extra cost or not?

How about a pay to play per fleet...just like docking places! If the fleet gets taken out or disbanded..too bad so sad you lose your "pay to play" extra slot! That's some incentive for merchants to go after pirates running 6 ships fleets and more incentive for pirates to go after merchant's running 6 ship super heavy armoured fleets and gives admin one more source of potential real life income!

I don't know that any additional cost should be applied, unless the slots are earned through some sort of tech.

I am already skeptical if I would run these, unless running gold bars and boosting cargo with more LMM mixed in.

If additional upkeep for slots cost more than the additional cargo, the protection math doesn't make sense to me.

I think there should be a cost. It's an extra ship so there is extra cargo. Merchants will make more as a result. They will lean (or so I think) toward a Flag Galleon as it has 100 cargo and is a "War Ship".

I just don't know what cost that should be.

You are probably right, there should be some cost

But for 1 extra slot it should be modest. I don't know what to apply to it either.

how about new fleet setup will be more slower than 5 ship? pros: more firepower more cargo value cons more slower. maybe its a stupid suggestion but want to share it:)
