I math'd this a few days ago. If I recall the port has to have a population of nearly 500 million to caste TI, and then move those citizens for it to make sense.

But stealing someone else's population is pure profit.

but stealing double edge sword as all we know. they can do the same also. in my opinion from this feature mostly bermuda and egypt are going to make more profit than anybody else.

Akrotiri was down around 1million people when IoM took over. It has taken a lot to get it up to 23 million. Transport by ship would have been a huge help then. Transporting by ship is still helpful There are other uses. for this and even when TI are cheaper, it does not alwasy mean they ate available when you need them, or in the quantity that you desire.

Not pure profit you are giving up the oppotunity to move other cargo.

if you cant be able to use TI that often the most profitable port is your akrotiri from this trade feature.

Now if we can develop the ports and create a demand for npc citizens to switch ports on their own. Merchants could charge fees to the Npcs for the journey.

True. But tax payers create positive ROI because of longevity of the payout.
