I see it now. Perhaps it was momentarily approved then.

Point is that once it became clear that this was mostly useful to recover resources, it lost any interest for us. It would make sense to change your mind, early on perhaps, but using it to strategically get a return on resources is not doable.

For example, if we implemented it now, the most obvious thing everyone could do would be to destroy workshop + mansion. Let's say that we hard coded the mansion so they are at least forced to keep occupying places. Everyone could still get rid of about 4 levels of mansion and 20 of workshop. Getting back whatever return percentage is agreed here.

A percentage of course that we were never favorable over it, as all costs of the buildings were based on a case study for the game balance. Where exactly this balance will go when everyone will be able to get back anything? That's right, to the bin :hh

I see your point... What if you made Mansion and Workshop off limits.

Only tied it to Bank, Gold Smith and Marina.

If you did this then it would take away abuse and I think for the most part these are the building some may want to change their minds on... I can't be certain.

If you limited it to these 3 then you could do what you suggested with reimburse the Iron, Tools and Gold Bars in the form of Gold Coin. This would not be a huge return but something from the "Scrap" of the demolishing.

I was going to make a separate post until this one was found and call it "Liquidation".
A player has the choice to Liquidate (per level) of an investment made.

Say I built a lvl 20 Marina but found I only need 10 spaces. I could Liquidate the 10 levels not needed for a little bit of the investment made.

This sounds reasonable. Gold bars at which price, current avg - 10% ?
