Ahoy and welcome!

We are ALWAYS looking for feedback from newcomers.
What problems you encountered? How can we make the game more interesting? Any feedback is helpful :)

well i started to game 5 days ago and i really liked the game but its because all helps(informations) i get from my guild members and other players thanks to all of them.
i had a few problems when i started to game. im always saying (if) about my first journey. when i register the game i didnt know the importance of turns first ships what path should i walk danger systems etc. and in my opinion too many players just logging the game and trying to figure out whats going on and even before didnt get the game basics they losing their interest to the game and quitting.(this happening to people almost %90 of the time in my opinion. we can check the recently joined tab and we will see how many player we got since 5 days but how many of them playing this game currently.) well in my opinion you can put a beginner guide to entrance of game. for example black sparrow's starting guide we can make new and updated one for newcomers. and put it both on login screen and put it as a first mission. (and give people a free howker and let them know trade is one of the most important aspect of game not only but one of the most.)

and one of the most annoying mission i had was bury treasure mission. and digging treasure part as a newcomer. you didnt know much about game and spending tons of turns on it expectinga result and nothing. its same for both bury and recover. well you can change the missions turn requirement a bit tooned. and you can give to newcomer for example %50 more treasure find chance for a limited time only. (npc treasure only) they will make them happy. even if they will get only a few k gc it will still be nice to have.

and let people know when started to game they have boosted turns for a limited times and warn them about that so they wont expect they will get 2 turns every 10 min.it will prevent the disappointment.

and for plunder screen put a newbie protection even between pvp fights. powerful foes couldnt attack the newcomers. and you can give them free patrol chance.without spending to much turn for find a npc opponent. and you can even give to newcomers a percentage of trade profit boost for a limited time so they can enjoy more from their journey i guess. and you can make a little bit much starter resources for their warehouse.

Last one at least for now. Make a choice on starting screen if they are newcomers like me they can only be eligible to choose aiora prote or kanoni. once in a time i started on caspian didnt know anything about game and quit the game after a few hours later. didnt logged again after a week or so just i decided to try at least one more times and thanks to helm guild im here right now.

Regarding Treasure Hunt
->We reduced the requirement from 200 to 150. You still get the 150 turns reward.

Regarding protection
->You can only pit against newcomers except if you opt out voluntarily.

You are right about the ports at start. We will put a more bold suggestion (recommended)

Thank you very much ! Anything else, let us know!

Well one idea come to my mind. When i started to game i checked the ports nations for a starting place and couldnt find my nations flag which is quiet normal because currently we only have 2 player in my nation:) well most of the newcomers will feel like me. they would like to represent and carry their beloved nations flag like me.

i know its nothing you can do about that to obtain a port but well we can presume current port owner nations as an empire and we can put other nations(a nation should be able to choose their empire) under their control. and give them a little bit population rate as well. so they can both experience the manage a nation and can have at least little bit funds to save and help to their citizens(players) for port wars they cant be targeted directly but still can effect by the others vodoo attacks. well their empire will protect this nations in exchange of taxes. i dont know if its possible to add such a aspect to game but i think it would bring more player to game.

Everyday im checking the recently joined tabs. most of the newcomers have a different flags in their portreit than top nations. if they can see their nations flag even under a certain ports flag maybe it will give a new ambition to newcomers and let them play more voluntarily for their beloved nations. maybe current port owners wont like to share their profits or pops for other nations but i know you can arrange the pops and profits according to owned nations. And we can even add a % increase on influence and pop for port owner for each nation they protect under their flag. you can decide the tax rate and citizen count of nations on law tab of port owner nations. just an idea.

Are you suggesting like a "Settlement" or "Embassy", where The port is controlled by a larger nation, like Egypt, but you work out a deal to own a piece of land where you can fly your flag, but you pay taxes to the Controlling nation. All population growth would go to controlling port owner.

The larger map can be "Zoomed" in on simply by clicking the Port name. This brings up a map of that Port and surrounding "territories". These territories can then be leased to aspiring nations such as yours. A place to call home and fly your flag. You would place your Settlement or Embassy here.

???

i like this idea, even though i don't see any direct use for it or to what purpose it could lead. my gut feeling is that this is something to ponder on.

embassies (and guild houses?) for diplomatic reasons. it just sounds right

Exactly you explained too way better than me:D im just thinking if more nation will be represented more player will be come and stay.

I started game 6 days ago. since that time approximately 260-270 new player came but only 5 at most 10 of them keep playing. and you can check %99 of them from different small nations. with that way it will also help to owner of the port's nations. Because they will use positive voodoos on their represented ports as well. for better income which will return better tax and pop income for controller nations aswell.

PS: You are just awesome btw:)

I like the ideas of newer players and fresh thinking is always nice.

This idea especially, allowing non port holding nations to still be involved. Perhaps a form of vassalage that a nation must request or offer to another.

Port holder offers part of tax income

Vassal supplies population and influence in port counts towards port owners total.

something to that effect.
