YES!!! PLENTY!

Unfortunately, they are not all so well organized but you can find some at Implemented thread here:
viewforum.php?f=19

Hey, I found something proposed by you there: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2740 (but this is not major I know).

There are some players that have really helped us move forwards the game (you can find them in-game with a special achievement by their names. For example, Skyhawk ( http://s2.piratesglory.com/index.php?pa ... ds&id=2708 ) has been our main source for a lot of pirate features, mostly thanks to this topic here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=468&hilit=pirate+wishlist We still refer to this topic, although now a bit obsolete but we want to fulfill HIS WISHLIST!. He is also the man who designed bounties in detail. For anyone wondering: NO! We do NOT know Skyhawk. Skyhawk is NOT an admin. Skyhawk is a player like all you.

Credits Exchange, is the latest example of a player who started it as an idea, PERSUADED us to prioritize it and helped us with details. Thanks to Haron we got this feature and thanks to him we got it a lot faster too. This reminds me that he deserves a Major Design Contribution achievement.

Captain Log which we currently develop (among other things) is a player idea with lots of different players that have already contributed ideas to it.

However, to be frank, it is pretty rare to have a player design a whole big feature by themselves like Credits exchange and bounties. Surely they have been more but the major role of the contributions usually refer to parts of the whole feature. The good thing is that there are plenty of quality participants. Most features after version 1 have heavy player contributions.

A good example to this are Banks. Banks is one of the biggest things and we have relied heavily on players to develop it. Once we developed it, we kept communication open with bankers and kept receiving their ideas. Their ideas are ofter transformed to suggestions. Even if this suggestion is a brand new thing, it still came out of players feedback.

Regarding voodoo, most voodoos (they are not that many as you think) that have been released after 1st release, are a result of player ideas. Same with laws.

The reason why you see my name in most of the topics, is not because I or the game are the authors. It is because I am the one who organizes all ideas and suggestions. Even in Credits Exchange, the forum topics are mine. This is a big part of what I do as a community administrator.

So ultimately, every post matters. Naturally, we cannot (and we do not want) to implement everything. We are picky too. We want the best. We want balance. We want the game to be fun. Deep down the road, the game has some characteristics that must be maintained. No matter what though, everyone is helping us go forward for the best of the game. The better the game, the better entertainment for you.

Thanks for the response. I didn't even realize mine was implemented lol.

But can we get some voodoo suggestions implemented? You made one that everyone loved and it was something like remove 15k gold every hour from a player (stack 5? I forgot).

As well, there have been some very well +1ed ones by players.
Just repeat after me: "Czar Ivan did not help me win the elections."

Shortly before your reply, I edited my post where you missed a link I added:
viewtopic.php?p=6490#p6490

Check it out ;) You will see that most of the voodoo cards we implemented at our last pack, they were all player ideas.

I understand where you are taking it. Truth is that we have so many voodoo ideas that it appears like we are ignoring players. This is what it seems though if you do not know what is really happening.

Let me explain the whole story with VOODOO in a few words:
-Voodoo cards are plenty already. At one point we questioned ourselves and said that too many voodoo cards at this stage are not a wise option development wise. Let's add more features and then return to new voodoo releases again.

-We did this mainly to control the number of cards released. We want the game to be tactical. Voodoo are cool but they are mostly bought with real money. So we feared that if we put too much attention at this part, we will lose on potential players that might see it wrong.

-Also, as the number of cards rises, the harder it gets to get the cards you need. I used to collect magic the gathering cards and I kind of hated that I ended up playing with 200-300 cards at most while having 5000 more to the closet taking up space. So, personally, I voted against this and we said that we should put value to every card released first. This is still an unfinished project.

-We do have however the recipe to make this happen futurely and we have already shared this plan with the players!!

If you note, there are many LEGENDARY card suggestions. This is not a random trend. This is because we said that WE ARE NOT INTERESTED for SIMPLE cards right now, we are interested for LEGENDARY cards. Then, we said, once we have enough, witch hut will be released. You can find all the details here:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=940&hilit=witch+hut
Please also note that among the requirements, credit exchange is mentioned ;)

I hope this explains it fully to you on what is going on with voodoo development. Any questions, I will be happy to answer.

I want to add here that we the forums are our notes. When we get to develop something, we use 2 sources.
1)Any hand-made notes - these are scarce - not the regular tactic - only have a supplementary role
2)The forums - This is the place we start and the place we end - for every feature

So, when a topic is approved or seems probable to be approved, it is highly unlikely to be neglected or missed. We read ALL replies. There are some organization issues at the forums right now but I hope to fix them soon myself.

Finally, I want to share something else. I already wrote it a couple of times but I will write it again. It is not easy to decide which the next big feature will be and when this will be. It is dependent on many factors that change quite fast. Unfortunately, browser games are fast becoming obsolete worldwide and for this reason, if we want to keep development active for the next 5 years (as survival is guaranteed for many more years), we need to see a steady increase of the active playerbase. To do this, 2 things are important for us: Keep our veterans and bring back our veterans. So, we will keep you here in one way or another :P

Same here. :)

Now that you mention it, Captain Jack, the card graphic looks very similar to that game graphic. Maybe PG should have its own graphic, representing voodoos not like a CCG card but like (for example) a scroll?
Something like this:

The voodoo picture could still be placed in the scroll, as well as the voodoo text...
Stay tuned on Radio Image Bermuda!
.
Are you a new player? Contact me in game and I'll cast a helping voodoo. Consider this like a sort of "tutorial mission".
