as a European i had no idea that it was a holiday until Shadowood posted about it.

for my part of the world the next big holiday is Christmas. i suggest that all guild masters have a big powwow and declare a cease fire for those days. we're all mighty traders or feared pirates or NCSftQCCC providers, we should be able to come up with something ourselves without game enforced regulations.

how much is a trader who has over 200 fleets sailing around willing to pay for such a card? either he will buy them in quantity to obtain perpetual immunity or the starting players are unable to afford this card and thus dammed to be substitutes for big dude #1 to 20.

a good guild will look after your interests when you take a day of. (yes i have a beef against wannabe guilds) and on those few occasions that the majority is occupied with family and other turkeys a truce can be arranged by the guild masters.

Given the vast number of cultural and faith-based holidays, worldwide : every day is important to some-one or another in a global player-base : why should a festival celebrated by a minority religion matter to the 70% of the world who dont follow it? Or national holidays, saint's days or purely commercial festivals like Halloween and Mother's Day? Do we not hit because it is Ramadan? Or Passim? Or Lent? Or World Hamburger Day?
