So I am all about player retention schemes and helping new players schemes, sometimes I destroy them in the meantime
When you begin the game, you have 3 options of which you can choose from:
> Merchant
> Pirate
> Noble
They are limited bonuses to each, so perhaps for each one you could include some bonuses?
Merchant : Per day for the next seven days, some 2,500 resources are shipped into the port of X ( Your choice from the start of the game)
Pirate: Per day for the next seven days, you earn a extra 5 Skirmishes ( Equivalent to 100,000 gold coins)
Noble: Per day for the next seven days, you earn a extra 100,000.
