The demand would have to be enormous, which currently it isn't. GoldBars are being supplied at a greater rate than it's demand. While you can make some really good money now, eventually you will not make as much. This also makes it pointless for newer players in the future from every building one. The total cost will outweigh any profit.

Admin has also stated more features will require GBs in the future. Up to and including more ships. I am sure they are only waiting for more bars to be in circulation. As it stands a level 20 GS is making roughly 400-500gc per bar and can produce around 5,000 bars per day.

That is a sizable profit.

Gold Bars were not designed for any smith below level 14 to make such a profit. If they were, your statement on over inflation and no profit would hold very true.

Gold bar prices would need to drop below 1750 before the top smiths would need to pause for the while.

im saying once people stop making goldbars because it becomes too unprofitable so the price would rise allowing one or more people to supply the market with a influx of new players if they keep working on there hideout then it will cause the demand to go up and no one but who currently owns a goldsmith will even think that its worth the investment so there will eventually be the same supply or a slightly larger supply but probably a bigger demand later on down the road and that were just at that point where its not worth building one

You got a link to where it says that. I've been reading the GoldSmith forums topic and nowhere did it say that you won't make a profit until Lvl14 by design. Being profitable at lvl 14 is because of over supply. When this was first rolled out, I'm sure that it was profitable at a lower level. At the rate of production of gold bars, eventually it will only be profitable at lvl 15, then 16, etc. When you can only make a profit at lvl 20 is when you will have a major issue?

Has your GoldSmith production recouped the cost of building it? How many gold bars do you need to sell at 400-500gc profit to break even in cost?

Being able to make a profit early on was only due to it being a new feature. It does not say anywhere specifically that thats the design.

My point was reduced and perhaps i should have made it more general. The "Hideout" was created as a feature for "Advanced" players. Therefore not intended for all players to make any sort of real profit off of it until they invested heavily. Profit is there and quite high for those Advanced players who have access to top levels. Though there ROI will take time, it will be lessened with the inflation. Sure there profit per bar goes down, but much fewer players will be producing limiting their competition. Arrangements and agreements for distribution and maintaining certain prices have been discussed by the few and at points used to keep a certain level of production and price maintained.

Smithing bars is not a feature everyone will nor should profit from. (at least until they put considerable time and work into becoming one of the elites)

If Smithing is not a feature everyone should make a profit from, then there should be restrictions on it just like the proposed restrictions on Banks. If it's not there for everyone, then it should be a dictated feature with control coming from Nations/Guilds as to how many can be built.

The restrictions are there in the forms of cost....

Anyone can "if" they can afford to.

like how its easy to own a level 1 bank but a level 20 bank costs more then the level 1 but is a ton larger and a ton more expensive not many people have that kind of money

but in my mind its harder to get 35 million just for the first level of a goldsmith and it doesn't even payback

I wouldn't call costs a true restriction, as costs can be overcome and a profit can rebound those costs. Costs only restrict players who don't pay for credits thus preventing them from building quickly. One can buy credits, exchange it for gold, ships, etc., and build a goldsmith relatively quickly.
