If you were digging for a response to your attack of my character. I was doing just fine for a couple of years I didn't invest a dime. My first investment was due to the fact that I really enjoyed the game and I've played it for years I felt they deserved a little bit something. And then I had a couple of egotistical bullies attack my first character. So then I decided to try to get them back by doing exactly what they did buying Voodoo cards. So that's my response to your assumption of what I was getting at

it would be nice to see a temporary server that we cannot change our names on and they stay the same as on the main server along with numbers and that all they would really have to do is add the temporary server to the sign in page after you've signed in it goes to where you select the world and then you head to the temporary map that has 2x speed or something like that where it has clear winning circumstances to win like be the last person with ships afloat or first nation to 20 ports or something like that and its just a random way to win and you get a achievement for winning there

Oh give it up... its becoming a lame excuse for not being that good without spending : there are plenty of players here, successful and respected, who never spent a cent on it : okay, maybe they had to work harder, and be smarter, but quality of play will always win out.

You try too hard to read into what I say.... I simply meant what I said... which is very true.. figures you would have something to say about this comment

I tire of the continual whining about people who support the game by spending on it ; sure, it gives them a small advantage, but its an advantage clever and skilled play will always overcome : I'd rather that advantage existed than have to put up with continual ads and blipverts and continual bleeding of my bandwidth feeding data-scouring leeches posing as some sort of service to humanity, after all, it only helps them bug me with advertising 'tailored to my needs'. But if folk who spend coin on a game are so bad in your book, go play a 'free forever' game... lagging servers, adverts on every refresh and regular server outages.

See you're assuming I mean something that I don't... I am one of those players that buys credits you must have a guilty conscience. I simply said what I meant and it's true

Keep it on topic please.

What I am worried about besides transferring credits is that the activity level of Avonmora would go down as players spend more time in a second server. I enjoy having guildmates online often and nations warring over ports regularly. If a new server opened up I believe I would spend 75% of my time on that server and 25% of my gaming time on keeping my trade fleets moving in Avonmora. With all the pirates focused on another server I would find little or no opposition to my operations and it would turn into "Traders Glory" instead of "Pirates Glory" which is WAY LESS fun.

If we had 2 or 3 times more players would it be enough to open another server? I'm curious what Captain Jack thinks about what "critical mass" would be for a new server. How many active players does it take to support a server?

I beleive I was on topic : mack raised the objection that a second server was undesirable due to 'pay-to win' tactics : as he also stated he was one of those players, he objects to it as people like himself might play on it.

That apart : my experience of multi-server games is that I usually ended up playing in several at a time, as did most. As it stands, I also play 2 other online games atm. I find using a separate tab for each generally works.

The few games I've played that relied and constantly opened new servers relied on it to keep the game alive. I like the idea of doing it for tournament or some other goal setting play but I think permanently would diminish from the current world.

While the thought of a fresh start and equal footing seem appealing at first glance, I don't want to start the game again from day 1 or manage a second account. While I don't hold myself near the regard of PK or Da Vinci or name your player....I think think their power, prowess, influence, coin or whatever you measure is attainable through smart play.

New server. Bad idea. That's my 2 cents

a brand new server would be a bad idea but temporary one's for certain events that are generated every 6 months to every year would be nice to see

Again, I +1 this idea.
