Ramen noodles wrote:The entire argument stating if we take away guns, then criminals will still get guns and kill people is flawed. Every single nation with banned guns (Including Japan, UK, and England who aren't communist countries) have MINIMAL murders.
STATS:
UK = .72 gun homocides per 1,000,000 people. As well. 558 homicides yearly.
Japan = 1.1 murders per 100,000 people.
Australia = 1.6 murders per 100,000 people.
America = 5.1 murders per 100,000 people.
Canada = 1.45 murders per 100,000 people
First, England is part of the UK.
Secondly, with exception to Canada your other examples have borders with no other nations. Canada's only border exists with the US and even then there is no mass migration of people running into Canada. The US has the two largest unprotected borders in the world.
Third, population differences. The US has the 3rd largest population in the world 330M+. The UK has about 60M+ and was ranked 22nd. Canada and Australia didn't make the top 50 list in population.
Fourth, drugs and gangs. Drug cartels aren't sending their drugs in mass to Canada, Australia, or other smaller nations. While they do reach other locations most drug cartels make their money by selling in the US. How much gang violence do you hear about it Australia and Canada?
