Imagine accidentally clicking "Research" and then you can't research anything else for another 1.5 YEARS.

I really like the idea of making a very long-term research so that education is actually worth while. But I worry about locking someone into 1 research for so long.

How about a research option that yields only a small advantage but it doesn't take much gold at all. The only real cost is time. This would allow new players to actually experience the academy. Currently the academy researches are very powerful and therefore very expensive so that only about 10% of the playerbase can even try the technologies. (I'm guessing at the % of players research things. I would be interested in Captain Jack would share how common it is for players to research anything).

-1, horrible suggestion. Not even I, the master of the future, could have predicted such a bad idea coming from Guluere
