Reflection ( legendary )

Enchantment - Player

Target - player

8 turns

duration 72 hours

Witch Hut Recipe - 2 Confuse, 1 counter curse, 1 serenity

Crafting - 24 hours

Crafting - 1000000 g.c.


target player has a 60% chance to block and reflect curses

if incoming cast is successfully blocked and reflected
the caster becomes affected by the curse they are casting


if reflection fails there is still a 15% chance of blocking
overall 75% chance incoming curse will be blocked
but only a 60% chance it will be reflected.

The Idea on this is deter voodoo harassment or an expected large voodoo attack

Thoughts or modification suggestions welcome -
I had let this go and someone suggested a similar idea so I reworked it as a Legendary Card

However many is cast on the user within 72 hours. It's basically a better mindbar!

Yes it is, which is why its too powerful, and we have counter curse and mindbar, maybe this can become a legendary voodoo.

if its to powerful maybe reduce the %chance it will work.

its a good counter to someone who is harassing you.

I am flexible with attributes of the curse if it seems workable and just needs adjustment

I would change recipe to 2 Counters, 1 Confuse, 1 Serentity.
Make duration of curse only 24-48 hours (negotiable), as counters are consumed on hit.

Questions:

1) How would you reflect a card like serenity, which has a specified voodoo card as it target - unless caster also has that same card active?
2) What about cards that affect a specific ship or a specific fleet?
3) Would it be possible to use BOTH this card AND mindbar? That would REALLY make it legendary, and if so, the cost must go WAAAAAY up.
4) What happens if you have this on yourself, then cast on yourself? If the effect is reflected, does that mean the card works as normal?

good points on the serenity and ships or fleets -
good point serenity could only be 75% chance of block- as a reflection of serenity would not make sense.
this presents a similar issue with the fleets - as this could not affect the casters ships or fleets - i suggest the following
- random ship or fleet is affected
- or it is simply just the 75% chance of a block
- this will present a similar problem with propaganda
similar answer - 75% chance of block
- or could hit caster in random port where they hold influence

with Mindbar - I would like it if mindbar could be an add on. Mindbar would be an extra ingredient and cost would increase a lot.
essentially this card would be in front with a mindbar behind it. That would be really strong.

Also I have not fully explored the concept of functionality of what would happen if you cast this on someone other than yourself.

Are you suggesting duration decreases as hits come in and the counters are used up.
