Chat box problem

I have a problem with the chat box. I alternate between playing on a PC and playing on my phone. Often when I switch, the chat box opens with messages from "System" - with info I already got while playing on the other device. All well, if I could just close the chat box. However, if I close it and then click some link, the chat box reappears. The only way to make it go away, is to type a message (one letter is sufficient) and send it. If I close it after THAT, it stays closed.

Another problem is that it's impossible to use the chat function on a phone. When enlarging the screen, it is impossible to pan down to the chat box - it just keeps moving down, always staying below the screen area. The only way to use it, is to NOT zoom, in which case it's impossible to read the text in the box.

this problem has been discussed in many forum posts before this one. it was determined that pirates glory was meant to be played on the pc so making your chat box work on the phone is extremely low priority. please check prior forums for your issue before posting a new thread

I knew that the second part had been brought up before, but I haven't seen the first part reported. I mentioned the second bit because they are related; it makes the first part more of a problem, actually. When I click a link, then start zooming, and the chart box pops up, things get messy. And since that chat box keeps popping up even if I close it, it is a problem.

The answer that the admin will give you is that this chat is temporary and we'll be moving to a better messaging system in the near future. When you take in mind that these bugs are old as the game itself they probably won't get fixed. 3rd party sux

It's a disturbing issue. Our plans are not to issue more fixes to what we consider a problematic feature (chatbox).Our intentions are to replace it with something better. So far, these plans are only in the sphere of intentions.
