Loans, grants, and scholarships. Good luck getting a grant. Scholarships almost never fund college to a substantial amount. Loans will have to be paid back for the next who knows how many years of your life.

I recall an old saying I heard once. the only thing people are entitled to, is their opinions, and death. I do agree that everyone should be given a chance at education, although many do not take that chance. and the things primary school teaches isn't all useful, though some education is better then none. anyway ive said my bit, I guess ill let this forum die aswell. it was a fun contest while it lasted.

I know, Meliva. If you want to be respected, you should have a degree you can't use anywhere but the bathroom. Go into stem fields or become the most noble role of all, a mother! :O

Chin Chin, people can afford college and you have to be smart with your student debts. Taking can only go so far before you have to start giving. If you can't afford to go to Harvard (which is actually very affordable), don't expect others to pay your way. Your education, your expense in my opinion.

I have immense respect for mothers, and fathers who take good care of their children. I'm going for accounting in college. Ive always like math simply due to how rarely it changes. science is always advancing so fast and there is way to much history to learn. but math almost rarely changes.
1 million years ago, 2+2=4. today 2+2=4. and odds are unless something crazy happens 1 million years from now 2+2 will still equal 4. once you learn math, you don't need to study anymore really. you've learned it.

only problem with accounting is that there is no room for error. you can not be off by a CENT, or the whole thing gets screwed up and you may need to redo everything trying to find that one small error. accounting taught me to double check everything, then double check it again just to be safe.
