Unclaimed Bounties!

One of my frustrations with the bounty system is the players putting up a bounty with crazy low values!

Take for example the bounty on Nelson right now for CALL LEVIATHAN on one of his ships. In return you get $200,000. This bounty will not be claimed and Nelson will not suffer the wraith of whom ever put this up. The reason you ask. Well the value of the card itself. On the market the avg price of CALL LEV right now is 11.6 credits (worth roughly $1.2 million gc). Why would someone cast on Nelson for $200,000 and the potential of a return attack from the feared pirate. THEY WONT. Especially when they can just sell the card, make a profit and not fear of a return attack.

Please do everyone a favor, review the cost of such cards you don't want to cast yourself and price accordingly. In this case, you should price the Call Lev at $1,500,000 minimum. This will cover the cost of the card and the potential that the person casting might get hit back from whom ever they are casting on.

Put it a fair price and I will gladly open my voodoo chest for you. As I am sure others will to.

sadly we cant force people to set appropriately sized bounties. in some cases I can understand not putting up the full value. take FoJ.
worth about 7 creds atm. so 700K. lets say someone puts up a bounty of 500K each for 1.5 million. and also sets up a plunder bounty. that might be worth it if you plan to plunder the player after hitting him with FoJ. so setting up bounties that compliment each other would be a good idea aswell.

Agreed Mel and I don't want, nor am I trying to force someone... I just want them to review the cards first before just putting a number up. They put it up there for a reason, and that reason is to get back at someone. They don't either have the cards themselves or just want to remain anonymous or fear for retaliation.

In the case with the Lev's, they will just sit there, sadly, as they are so under priced.
