Sir Colchian
The hideout is very expensive, and most of the investment has a very long return on investment.
Lots of things that are very helpful and give a lot of advantage. It's a good reward for a dedicated player.
It's also the best protection for established players against someone who new who comes and wants to burn credits to
gain power. Yes they would be able to buy the upgrades, but the amount of time everything requires is limiting
for even a person with unlimited funds. If i get some spare gc I put it into my hideout, but I don't buy turns,
or sacrifices to speed things up. I hope to be here for a while, I got plenty of time to work on it.
Thinking more about Rodney's idea and going back and reading what captain jack said about better use for existing ships.
I came up with two options.
- Rondney's idea is good - a ship that is entirely designed in your hideout - i think that meant an entirely new custom spec ship.
or a strip option - you have to sacrifice an existing ship, That ship can then be customize in your hideout
and becomes a new ship using the original ship as a base.
you can remove core attributes and change them.
remove cargo slots and replace with guns,
remove guns and replace with cargo
remove both and increase speed
reduce speed and add more cargo and or guns
guns and cargo should not use equal slots
or you would end up with a ship that had 100 + guns on it.
just running numbers in my head 4 cargo = 1 might work.
In a real ship you would have limitations of things like not being able to add guns below the water line.
so there might be a minimum cargo slot removal limit for some ships.
