i said excluding those??? american revolution, civil war, 2 WW are the major ones. russia wouldve been defeated if it wasnt for britain, US, France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia.. ussr flipped the war by having allies and you know it

What did the allies really do? Most were taken over except for the good old bear. Britain was in ruins, Russia made it a tough start for the Germans. Very little infastructure and muddy terrain, moving tanks to the Russian front was near impossible. Russians shelled out Germans during Stalingrad, and defeated Germans most popular 6th army. 1 million of Germany's finest soldiers versus Russian peasants, I call that manpower.

But the US didn't acquire new land, it just took back what it had lost. "We gained the nation during the Revolutionary war" - yeah, not really. The democracy we know today wasn't until LATER, after the articles of confederation.

Would like to point out we didn't gain territory from the Civil War... or the Revolution... we just broke away from Britain... that isn't gaining land it is "re-defining" the land.

the good ole bear as you say only prevailed because of its allies... everyone was in a mess even russia, you act like they were always aving the upper hand... it only happened because of communcation with hitlers officer and himself

the officer kept saying they needed to retreat or they would be overrun but the message was not delivered promptly and hitler kept denying it.. then russia capitalized on it because britain and america were thinning german lines and stalingrad had more russian reinforcements than german ones

Hitler made the mistake of attacking the USSR too early. had he waited for his forces to finish off the western forces then invaded Russia things would be different. not to mention his troops were ill prepared for the cold Russian Winters, which also caused Napoleon trouble back when he fought against them. Also Stalin had a pretty brutal policy during the war, any one who deserted would be killed. But America had scored some fine victories as well. General Patton in particular won quite a few victories. In the end we cant say ONE nation won the war. Ultimately however, we have no way of knowing how things would have turned out. We can only speculate. Maybe if America hadn't joined the war, Hitler would have won, maybe not.

NOT TRUE. Russians had infact LESS men at Stalingrad. Russia exhausted most of its army at the first few battles where 26million men died. Stalin scrambled and found 700k men versus the 750k Sixth Army.
