Dropping fleet danger

Postby William Pitt » Mon Jul 04, 2016 7:08 pm

While sailing the seas of Avonmora I've had my fair share of plunders and danger. About a year ago I found a way of losing my danger.

1. I drop my gold to 0
2. I attack a fleet through skirmish/allow a fleet to attack me(this means that I am not removing their danger)
3. I have 5 separate tabs open with commandeers ready to be cast on the ships.
4. After I skirmish/get attacked I quickly commandeer back my ship.
5. Put them back in a new fleet. No danger.

You seem to be forgetting, you were already punished doing such.

You attacked and lost the skirmish - Thus loosing the ships, you did this five times.

This particular attack is against the rules, as you knew when you were going to lose the ships and who to.

( They did not know it )

But when a ship gets plundered, if its known it will be its kind of danger manipulation.

It's danger manipulation and setting battle meaning 2 major rules are broken and it can be punished by ban...

Not to mention it's complicated and requires more turns than hideout card

I'm not so sure. It does carry a risk, and you are not making any arrangements with other players. I'd think this was ok, but a ruling from Captain Jack would be nice.

I've set my gold to 0 before so I lost the ships without any gold being taken but I never commandeered them back.

It's quite a cowardly move. I could understand sabotaging an enemy by giving them a ship (without their knowledge of it) and then ravaging it or something, but this move is just dumb. You lose fame/gold/voodoo instead of just fame/gold if you keep your fleets up on the board.
