good point, in that case, scrap the fame idea. but anyway that's all I can contribute, scrap the voting, and also maybe when it comes to who has engaged in the most battles, take into account only those who have attacked. if someone is attacked by 5 different players, they would come out as most battles, but it wouldn't be from attacking. maybe also take into account how many of those attacks are successful.

Which is where this forum would/could come into play.

And I agree with the ship-plunder criteria. Only capital ships. I just got 6 Merchantmen from attacking some kid that wasn't even my kill- he was left-overs from last night- shouldn't be counted.

What could happen though, is half points.

Anything above Frigate gets some form of Point.

Frigate: 0.5 Pts
Flag Galleon: 0.5pts
Large Frigate: 1pts
Ship of the line: 1pts
Man of war: 2 Pts.

They are not really worthy though, that is in my opinion.

Frigates is what I used, they are good which is why I gave them 0.5 per plunder. But are commonly used these days!

Maybe Roberts proved they were worthy? Who knows!

well brigs are needed for Royal fleet, so if you take a players brigs they cant counter Swarm of Worms with it. so they have their uses.

People voting for promoting Piracy is awful, smh. Promoting a merchant lifestyle fuels piracy, hehe. It is called Pirates Glory, after all.

I liked the informal "let's vote on who's the best pirate". That's fun. I think, however, that including this as a formal structure in the game is another matter. I think both piracy, trading and other ways to play this game should generate it's own rewards, rather than some formal "top players" reward structure.

I say let's keep it informal. If you like, organize a contest where people can bet on who can plunder most ships in a 3 month period, or something like that
