Top Pirate for this Period.

Recently, I made a forum post. Which can be found here:

Of which, discusses the best pirate of this period. Which made me think : There is a Top Helper for this period in game, so why not Top Pirate? It would promote Piracy, and be a huge implementation into the game itself. Which this thread itself, can lead onto other Voting polls such as " Top Merchant of the month, based on Profit of fleet "

Per period could be 30 days to 90 days, depending on such decisions.

I have a few suggestions of which this could be based on:
> Most times appeared in " Top battles for today " ; Appears in Quatermaster and is logged each day is worth "1" (point)
> Most voodoo cast ( Per 10 voodoo such as Hostile Natives, Fugitive Of Justice ) Would be classed as one point - To stop players only casting spells, it would be logged when the player hits X player 10 times, where X is the target of which he cast on.
> Most suggested, like Top Helper of the period, players will be able to vote ( To stop cheating: Players in the same guild will not be able to vote for each other, or you are only allowed to vote for a individual once.

Prizes:
Depending on the Time period of the " Pirate of the period" there will be a array of Prizes given like Top helpers but, on the offensive side.

For the Top Helper it is:
20 credits, 15 Buried Treasure cards, 10 Iron Golem cards, 3 Purify cards and 1 Flying Dutchman card.

30 Days:
However, for the Pirate it will have to be again on the offensive side.
> 20 Hostile Natives ( Base price of one per credit )
> 30 Expensive Tools ( Based on Price of Iron golems today which is mad I believe )
> 15 Terrorize - Buried Treasure cards have gone up in value, since increasing to 25,000 per card.
> 3 FoJ ( Based on price of Purifys 8 per one, as is FoJ )
> 1 Sloop ( One Flying Dutchman card is 3 credits? Maybe? )

90 Days
Depending on your version of a Period ( How long it is, it could be 90 days ) Of which if it is the following prizes above will be multiplied and all that cool stuff.
> 50 Hostile Natives ( x2.5 as Hostile Natives is a cheap card, and this would get you 20 Points easily. )
> 30 Expensive Tools
> 10 Swarm of worms
> 30 Terrorize
> 9 FoJ
> 1 Brig Of War

In both scenarios the player will gain a achievement saying he was the best pirate in X period.


Now , of course the prizes and the dates of "Periods" and that can be discussed. As can be what defines a "point" - What gives a user a point

I like the rewards. Saw an old forum where pirates were complaining about this game being "Merchant's Glory" so I like the idea in general.. would promote plundering/voodoo cast. More potential points could be most ships plundered.

Have not seen that thread, or was I the one to create it?

Regarding ships plundered, any old man can plunder a ship : I would agree if only certain ships gave out the points, such as if you plunder a Man Of War/Ship of the line.

But such ships like LMM/Howkers are nothing. As they are 100's of inactives with one ship or many.

I also like the idea, but I say scrap the voting. it should be based on piracy alone, afterall what kind of pirate votes

also it will need adjusting what consists of a point, but I think with some work, this could be a great addition to the game.

Well, as I mentioned I am open for discussion after all, what implementation ever has not been changed?

well I'm no pirate, so I don't have too much to add, but as I said, scrap the voting, and maybe add who has risen the most in fame, to the point list.

Fame is just anumber.

Real life pirates had one ship, and in the game if you have one ship per hit you loose like 50% of your fame per hit

Fame doesn't matter. Nelson can rise 5 million in 5 hours and lose it all in 5 minutes.

good point, in that case, scrap the fame idea. but anyway that's all I can contribute, scrap the voting, and also maybe when it comes to who has engaged in the most battles, take into account only those who have attacked. if someone is attacked by 5 different players, they would come out as most battles, but it wouldn't be from attacking. maybe also take into account how many of those attacks are successful.
