that is true, but in America we have minimum wage laws and laws to prevent child labor, so if businesses stopped using Chinese labor, and switched to American labor, they would not make as much money, and since the leaders of said businesses are typically greedy bastards who mainly care about money and theirselves they of course are going to go with the most lucrative solution.
