Voodoo idea Scurvy, and Lime lunches

Do you have an idea for a card ? Do you want a tweak on existing voodoo cards? Perhaps you even want one of them removed? This is where you can post your suggestion.

Grapefruit is also a great source of vitamin c,
But historically the british have been nicknamed limeys because of their use of limes to ward off scurvy in the navy.
This is because when the islands of the caribbean and the like where colonised and divided between the european sea going nations, the british owned the ones that mainly grew limes.
I don't know, it seems to me if they ain't got you one way they got you another,
So what's the answer? that's what I keep asking myself, what's it all about?
Know what l mean?

Voodoo that eliminated ship crew cannot be implemented.

Since crew plays a role in optimizing fleet speed, any voodoo that eliminates crew will result in irritating gameplay. Even in the case that the player has not optimized, it is still a nuisance. Imagine someone casting this to you and imagine that you have 50 fleets.

What we could do would be to affect Crew but not eliminate it. For example, as long as the enchantment is active, crew efficiency drops by 50%.
Still, this needs more ship specialization first before it can play a role important enough to be incorporated into a voodoo card.

Jack,

If voodoo cannot touch crew for technical reasons that is fine, just leave it at that.

I do not think "annoyance" is grounds for elimination of an idea. In fact, I think we need more voodoo that serves as an annoyance rather than being so damaging that using it is a blatant act of war.

The current suite of "annoying" voodoo is quite lacking, IMO. Lazy Craftsmen, hands of gold, etc serve less as an annoyance and more as a mindbar check or purify block rather than their purpose.

To me, this speaks more to the need of better ship/crew management tools. For example, the ability to hire max crew in ALL fleets would make this at least manageable. It would be really nice if we could get a "Hire X crew on all ships of Y type" that way we could set all LMMs to 60 crew or whatever as an example.

That said, I am -1 to the idea, but not for annoyance reasons. I think there could be a more elegant way to reduce ship combat effectiveness of players, which is what the primary goal of reducing crew in recent suggestions seems to be.
