Voodoo Curse Idea, Burning Sky and Cheap Hire

Target player loses 5 crew on all ships per hour.

Name : Cheap Hire
(Common)
(6 Turns)
(8 Hours)
(Stack-able : 3)

Target Player gains 2 crew on all ship per hour, also hiring crew is 75% cheaper.

Stack-able : More then one can be on the target.

cheap hire is somewhat useless, most players have full crew on their ships, and honestly crew isn't all that expensive to hire, especially since there are nation titles that further reduce the cost. I do like the idea of a voodoo to hurt crew though, so +1 for burning sky, but -1 for cheap hire.

Cheap hire was a counter for burning sky, read before you assume.

Because, you see, everyone doesn't want to have to go to ship to ship to rehire the crew now do they?

If we could get you two together, cos these are good ideas but I prefer the names of Melivas scurvy/ limes idea....
I don't know, it seems to me if they ain't got you one way they got you another,

in that case, its a rather poor counter no offense. burning sky costs 10 turns, lasts for 8 hours and kills 5 crew per hour.
cheap hire costs 12 turns, and only give 2 crew per hour. it does last for 12 hours, but it still is ineffective
burning sky would kill 40 crew total for 10 turns
cheap hire would give you 24 crew total for 12 turns.
so to counter it you would need to spend 24 turns against a 10 turn voodoo. and even then you would still be losing 1 crew per hour for 8 hours, then for the next 4 hours you would gain them back.
so again, cheap hire is not good, way too expensive turn wise imo. so maybe cut that in half.

yes while I don't always agree with his voodoo ideas, he does come up with some good ones I like. and as I have said before I really do want a voodoo to hit crew, so anyone who proposes such a voodoo is sure to get a +1 from me if its balanced. :lol:
