Whilst also destroying a few " bad new players " along the way?

Such as Lady Ruby Rose... Lead by Ghostie.
Or KarKar? Lead by, god knows.

Meanwhilst, +1 ; I will not be affected by this ; So in that case... I approve.

I have no intention discussing things with you but you can't point finger as you were in the same boat aggainst KarKar and you attacked him and casted on him as well
I have no informations about Lady Ruby Rose and that event as it happend before I sailed in the avonmora so I can't comment it.

one thing I would like is that when nations ally, they would have a in game forum that high ranking members of the alliance can meet and discuss things. kinda like the nations forum but for the allies. and maybe another feature would be shared influence, so that several smaller nations can pool their influence together to hold a port and share the benefits of that port. another thing I would like to see(but this is just for fun and has no real value) is for nations to be able to name their alliance. for example, America, Britain, and France name their 3 way alliance the Allies, and Japan, Germany and Italy name themselves The Axis. again that is just something I think would be neat, and doesn't serve a purpose except maybe for RP purposes.

Interesting concept but it could breed more problems that feasible for instance, The port can only have 1 flag so who will be the flag holder ? I guess obviously the nation with the most influence and high holder would become King? What if the single highest influence holder is Danish but the most total influence is held by Russian members ? IF one of these joint countries gets into a war and takes a beating, influence wise... It would certainly take a team of lawyers to sort out who is what in a national conglomerate as regards to port control.

However, if a strong leader can convince a couple other nations to unite under some other common flag, it solves all those little 'what if's' I mentioned along with a dozen others not mentioned.

yeah I know it would be tough to implement it without causing a whole lot of potential issues. like I said these are just some things I would like, but may not be practical. my idea is that if smaller nations group together to take over a port, the strongest nation overall would hold it and the others would share the benefits. another idea is that when an alliance is created, the alliance can not only give themselves a name, but maybe design an "alliance" flag, kinda like how the United Nations has its own flag, so when an alliance goes into a joint ownership of a port, the alliance flag is displayed instead of a single nation. I know these ideas might not be possible, at least not any time soon. but I think it would add a lot more to diplomacy. I do really want alliances to be able to give themselves a name.

This is kinda what I suggested in "Diplomacy suggestion": Just let a nation be allowed to use its influence in a port to support another nations control of that port. IE. Norway votes to use its influence in Pania to support Spanish control, meaning that Spain can add Norways influenc in Pania to their own for port control purposes (not that THAT would matter...). That will also make the smaller nations come into play, and lots of diplomacy will arise. What will you pay me to support your nation in this port? Will you support me in port A if we support you in port B? IF you don't support us i this port, will sink all your nations ships and take your gold! And so on.

In the first post of this thread, I noticed the following:

------------------------
Votings will be used once again. They will feature a new mechanism: premature ending when voting majority is met.

Procedure
An open X-days voting will open at proposing nation. The voting will need X days or absolute majority (If there are 100 available votes, the voting will close prematurely at 51 votes in favor). Once it is successful, a new voting will appear at the receiving nation where its citizens will be asked to Accept the Treaty or Reject it.
-------------------------

Will such "premature ending" voting be implemented? If so, how is it determined what an absolute majority is, since "new" players may rise in rank and gain more voting power? Is it simply determined so that if, at any time, anyone who hasn't yet voted would vote NO, the motion would still pass (due to previous YES votes), then an absolute majority is assumed? Anyway, if this IS implemented, I suggest a time limit even for "premature ending" voting. I suggest no vote should ever end until at least 24 hours after the voting started.
