Gold for Journalists

Ahoy mates,

I don't know about the other journalist but I invest alot of time into my newspaper. Though you can think of an article in 5 minutes and its more succesful than one that have been in preparation for a week it's hard ro rack up views and comments.

Here is my suggestion:

When a journalist writes an article and recieves 100 views he is awarded gold coins(admin can decide)
Each additional 100 view the writer gets he gets double the amount, eg:

100 views- 10,000 gc/150,000
200 views-20,000 gc/300,000
300 views-30,000 gc/450,000

Doing this would encourage more players to join the news organization.

Also,

If an article has 25 comments or more the writer is awarded credits or gold....

25 comments-10 credits
50 comments-25 credits
100+ comments-50 credits

That is my suggestion.

I somewhat like this idea, since it would make people more interested in news, yet I also somewhat dislike it, since then there would be people merely trying to cash in on writing stories. as it is now, since there is nothing to be gained from it, the people who do it are people who probably genuinely like making stories.

so I am going to be impartial to this.

Maybe you need at least 10 articles and have been active for 3 months giving regular articles.

There is a major difference between a permament feature and a contest.
Settle for little, lose for big.

I think he is implying it would only apply to News articles, or Stories. but if they do decide to pay journalists, I think its gonna take a lot of work to implement this. I personally don't mind if journalists get paid for making a good story, I just don't want it being abused by people writing quick stories for a quick buck.

I agree with gold. Not with comments. I agree for been rewarded for spending time and be productive for the game. I disagree credits for comments and i add bonus at 500 articles 500 credits. Big bonus for big stories. Ofcourse admin will place in the News folder only the acceptable onces.
