Do we get prizes for forum achievements?

No, let's not make it global. This is a special reward. We cannot put automatic rules for forum achievements here as I do not want nonsense posted around, just for someone to achieve it.

What Kart did here, is worthy of a reward. This was a nice social event that many people enjoyed. We want to thank Kart for his contribution with this special in-game achievement and forum rank title. Congrats Kart for being a community motivator! (If you can come with a better title Kart, let me know).

We might do this again in the future but nothing is certain.

If you think about it, Kart is the real winner. He got hundreds of Bribes cast on him for cheaper than buying officers, and he got recognition at least twice from captain Jack plus leaving a new mark on the game!

Yes I did increase my Bribes. I paid for each one of them, but it was cheaper than hiring the captains even with the 10 million gold prize.

As far as the comment about Brazzler being in my guild, no one in my guild knew anything that anyone else did unless they saw my gold level going up and down. This would have been tough to see though because I was getting rid of gold as fast as I took it in. This contest was run with the highest level of integrity. My next one will be just as properly run.

Remember, I am still buying Bribes.

As a regular contributor of bribes to Kart, I applaud his ingenuity is hatching his evil plot : For players who had little to no need of further officers, bribes were oft sold on the market for pennies : Kart offered a price which bettered the market terms given current conversion rates : so, winners all round and if Kart gained additional benefit from cheaper officers, well, fair play to him, I say! Remember, it was all voluntary : if you didnt like the terms, or didnt want him to gain more officers, nobody was forcing you to collude in the scheme.
I look forward to casting more bribes on him, and earning a fair recompense for the deed.

It may sound a bit iffy, however, I will not be the end user. I run a contest within the guild for gold each week. So the winners of that contest will be the people benefiting from it as I do not raise enough gold myself to run that along with my other enterprises.
