WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!!!!

The guess the date contest is over. I got my 600th Captain on day 1305, that means 1306 was the official winning date. I want to refresh everyone on the rules as it was really close for one player.

Rule #1 - The guess closest to the date FOLLOWING the upkeep on the day I hit 600 captains will be considered the winning date. Example, if I hit captain #600 on the day of 1350 according to game calendar it will not be official unless I keep this captain past the next upkeep. This means the actually day of the winner would be 1351 as that would be the date after upkeep that I had the 600 captains.

Rule #4 - If no one guesses the correct date the winner will be the next closest guess eliminating all the guesses whose date has already past. The winner will be the one who guessed the closest with out guessing too soon.

I got my 600th Captain on 1305 which is the date Bmw choose but according to rule #1 the number of Captains was not official until the upkeep had past making the official date 1306. According to rule #4 Bmw could not be the winner because the date he had guessed was already past. No one had guessed 1306 or 1307. The next closest guess with out the date guessed being past was 1308 by Brazzler.

Congratulations to Brazzler. I will be sending 10 million in gold to a bank for you as soon as this post is issued.

I hope everyone had fun with the guessing. To break it down some I started the contest with 530 captains. It took me 15 days to gain 70 captains. The cost of these Captains, if I had purchased, them all would have been over 376 million gold. For me to get to 1028 captains will cost over 4 Billion gold. Expect another contest guessing when I get my 700th captain to come soon. I will give it a week or two before I set that up.
