i didn't said that you give info for your clients Stan. you missundertood me. i said that some people can use that info to harm people. you can see all loan request. giving you the right to see all transactions its a problem. our liberty stops where someone else liberty starts. and i guess most of us want our liberty untouched and we expect from the game to protect us by keeping our info and secreats hidden. that's all i had to say.

Luff... there is no one who guards their privacy more than me. I can understand your and anyone else's concern for privacy. For this very reason, bankers have chosen to use a closed forum rather than posting here for all of Avonmora to see serious offenders who default on their loans. Perhaps that was a mistake on the bankers part as it raises questions like posted here of conspiracy theories and grand plans to take over Avonmora (although I am still not sure how that could be achieved).

It is a closed forum for the very reason of privacy concerns and to avoid the public consumption of every player who joins up, requests multiple loans and then quits playing leaving the lender(s) in debt.

if you guard our privacy Stan then stop talking about bankers forum. i guess we have different opinion on this matter so i wont continue the conversation. i still want my privacy though and my info to stay hidden. i still also believe that there are different things that are more important to improve at the moment and that we want to make the game better, not worse.

Actually Luff, I think we share the same concerns. I think however, you have fears that all bankers are going to pass your info around the big mahogany conference table like a box of chocolates.

Such is not the case. I, as a banker have no idea who you choose to accept a loan from when you make the initial request. If you have not jerked anyone over in previous loans, the bankers are not going to announce they won your business to all the other competitors.
The short of it is, all these bankers compete for your business and strive to earn your trust. Nobody knows who YOU choose to accept their loan offer except you and that banker. That banker is not going to jepordise his trust you have bestowed upon him and lose out on repeat business.

Default however, that banker is going to squawk loud to the other bankers that you are not good for your loans and then other bankers decide if they want to risk issuing a loan.

This is not the prime reason the consortium was formed however. There was a case where a shill account was created, numerous loans for large sums were requested from all the bankers, some being successful where upon that GC was funneled to another active player account and then went inactive.

It caused a massive amount of personal messages between all bankers as the first accounts started going delinquent. Consequently, many bankers were burned of many millions of GC.

Nations now may implement loan insurance where the nation assumes a percentage of the bad debt up to a ceiling decided by the nations council. This helps transfer the risk of new account loans legitly requested but then going inactive through lack of interest. Admin is working on a way for nations to recover that loss as well.
That still don't protect the banker from intentional deception and milking instances and the only way is to flag NEW players to the game who request abnormally large amounts of GC. New players are easily flagged by their player #

Unfortunately, a credit rating system would also fail in this case as a new player would have no credit rating or history. Bankers have to be on top of their game as well. To loan out 5mil gc to a player with no history is taking on an extremely risky venture and stands a greater than average chance of losing it. Especially knowing a new player number is not going to have the assets (ships) to confiscate if they fail to pay up.

i've been an excelent client so far Stan but let me give you an EXAMPLE.

LETS SAY that Cuba are my enemies and i'm a good banker. Cuba players have been attacking my guild or nation quite often and i want revenge. i join that forum and since i'm a big banker and have earned your trust i give you a fake story that cubans are transfering large amounts of goal through my bank and that they stopped paying their loans. i ask from you info about them to check if they took loans from you or owe money to you or if you have seen any suspicious tranfering.

what will you do? wont you give me that info? will you betray Cuba or Bankers? or are you going to start exchanging tones of messages with Cubans costumers to check if it's true? and how can they prove that they haven't took any loan from me?

i see that you solve a problem but many others are created. can i have a response to that? what will you do?

My personal banking business is just that. Personal banking business. I could also feed you a big load of bulldust of which then you have to decide if it is true or not. Not going to make any diff in regards to the war you are involved in.

I agree that a credit score is the last thing on the list, thus, so is your loan problem.

Stan and other bankers, I'm not saying that the current set of bankers are doing anything wrong. You guys are doing the best you can to work with an unfinished system. But you must understand the harm that current systems have. Lets revisit the exclusion point. A new banker wouldn't even know that this exist or who to contact to know who's in it and who's not if they knew it existed at all. Now, while a bankers forum would solve the "not knowing it exist problem," I'll get back on track. I was merely stating the problem with the current "solution" and arguing why an in game mechanic is necessary whether a forum or credit score.

My largest problem with everything that is not the credit score system, is the enormous potential for abuse as it pertains to harming others.

if your personal banking business is personal banking business why are we still talking? build a forum for bankers to say what then? if you have nothing to say the black list cover your needs. why you rejected it then asking for something bigger?

Thanks Roileon for sharing my conserns.
