Testing the Waters...

Postby Eirian » Sat May 05, 2012 5:14 pm

Hi everyone, I am female and I am from Australia. i just started.....about 4 hours ago ^^ my friend introduced me to the game. Not really familiar with anything yet, actually, but it all looks pretty good so far :) At this stage, I would say that alliance play is much more interesting. It creates the sense that we are part of a bigger crew......all in the same boat.......braving the seven seas together.......haha. Pardon the puns :D I heard that players are all pretty amiable, even the pirates :p and I hope she is right. I didn't play the 1st server. Joining an alliance would be nice. :D

Welcome in Pirates Glory.

Perhaps you could help us in making the game more friendly to female players. I have had 2 female friends of me trying it and they run in all sort of trouble. They found it very interesting at first but they had some trouble stickying with it. For some strange reason they prefer throwing bubbles rather than sinking ships.

Here is some advice lass.
Always set up your trade routs to be over an hour, this way you will not build up danger rating, and therefore can not be attacked.
Upgrading merchant ships is optional past the first five points they come with, but any war fleet needs to have its ships near max level for competitive play.
Never attack a fleet of ships that has larger/more upgraded ships than yours, unless you have maxed out ships and theirs aren't.

Hope these help ya get your footing. ;)

Hey Jack :) if you post on a new topic instead of my old one, it would pop up in-game in the tavern page as a "new topic" as well as "new post", so it would be more likely to be seen ^^

also, there is a "help" forum:
viewforum.php?f=12

just start a new topic and someone will answer...

well, just go to the link, click on "post new topic" in the top left, and say, "I am new and I want to join guild what do I do? ahhhhhh!" or something similar
although you can just read through all the guild pages and see requirements for each guild. if you pass those requirements, you can apply.
