Now accepting applicants to PPA (Professional Pirate's Association) call letters JAM.

Anyone welcome. Teaching guild, lots of action, fair amount of risk--great potential reward.

Existing players welcome, play styles honored.

PM AyeCappy in game or apply to guild.

Best!

The Old Man.

Damn, I was comming back with that one, the nancy Sinatra version at that--but over the top points for the post edit visual: as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words and all I have is two:

HUBBA-HUBBA!

But just to bring it back to the game...who has turns just laying around to respond to a little HN raid with 330 curses? I mean It took me weeks to build up turns...his opening salvo was 169 time spirals,

The only thing that really hurt was the stupid sabotage spells--no block possible, sure they only work 50% of the time, well he managed to take 48 points off my mow--so I now I have a lev 10 mow with the firepower of gnat.

So here is where I say, yeah, but he spent hundreds of rare spells to counteract what I did with 2 cards--except lets face it, it's tough to be a pirate in this game.

It was better in he old days where enough piracy took place to keep the voodoo stacks low, but now--I feel like a lone voice in the wilderness; who else was going to try to take down Mighty Joe (yes, it's an ape reference, look it up)?

So true Groggy. Just like in the old days, Nations are banding together to form navies and take the fight to the marauding bands of pirates who are finding it more difficult to earn a living from unsuspecting merchants who trade from port to port.

It is going to take a nation or band of Pirates to stay competitive and provide mutual protection for each other to survive in Avonmora.
There is still the odd loner such as Tom Lowe who takes(took) their chances and flies under the radar hoping to avoid attacks by pirates or competing nations but they are slowly getting drove out by the combined efforts of hungry nationals.

The world of Avonmora is evolving as it must to stay alive.

Lots of cash coming in to the game to buy voodoo is nothing new. How much would Xep drop at once or SGT Blue? I believe that will be around for as long as the game is around. It does really grate on you when you get killed with cards though. I believe that is how I lost my battle fleets way back. It was a good raid though that took them I have to admit. One guild got together and spread the curses out so that only one player didn't have to bear the whole burden. Stuff is just evolving from guild to Nation.

I'm not even sure this is a pay stack--because so few actually pirate, voodoo of the pirate squashing variety just piles up for these guys.

You'll say its nation stuff, certainly where all the action is, but I say its the "super" guild that was created against my express wishes (despite the fact it happened under my watch); I said at the time and I'll say again, all we did is make the old wales fatter, boot collier, etc...now there is NO one to stop them, and unfortunately, they have lets just say un imaginative leadership over there who is more interested in stupid influence points than keeping the game space fun and fair.

Anyway, there was an actual Cap Jack sighting, so who knows, maybe some balance issues will get addressed. I won't hold my breath:)

no, please do.
In the beginning, the world was created. This has widely been regarded as a bad move.
