Plantation Acres Bids

On placing a bid for additional acres, a pop-up informed me I had exceeded my daily bid limit of 500 acres in the last 24 hrs. This was not so as it has been seversl days since I added acreage.
It also stated that I could increase that daily limit (to 2500 acres) but does not say how or where this might be done. I do not recall ever seeing this option in any plantation menu.

So, firstly if there is a daily limit how is it calculated : is it purely new bids or does it include quartermaster bids to renew current acres. If so then a 500 acre limit is inadequate once you get more than 5 plantations as renewal bids alone will likely use up that allowance preventing or limiting any expansion of acres.

Secondly, is the pop-up correct to mention the increase to 2500 daily and, if so, directions as to where/how to do so should be made clearer.

Additionally, in my case, has the amount and or frequency of my new bids been calculated corrrectly?

Quartermaster included.
It's 500 per plantation.

After so and so many workers it jumps to 2.5k acres. I have forgotten if it's 2.5m though.

So its on a per plantation basis, not overall plantations.

Bit daft though... bit chicken and egg... to employ the workers you need acres... to get the acres you need to employ workers... oh well!
